Oxford University Clarendon Fund Scholarships for Graduate Studies

Oxford University Clarendon Fund Scholarships for Graduate Studies

Overview
The Clarendon Fund offers 100 full scholarships every year to academically excellent international graduate students at the University of Oxford.

Clarendon Scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full and a generous grant for living expenses, which this section gives details about.

Eligibility criteria
Clarendon Scholarships are highly competitive, with less than 10% of applicants selected for the scholarship. This section has information about the eligibility criteria of the Clarendon Scholarships, which are open to international graduate students in all subject areas who will be starting a new course.

Application process
This section tells you what you need to do to apply for a Clarendon Scholarship, which is done at the same time as you apply to the University of Oxford for graduate study. The deadline is in January of the year you wish to begin your studies.

Awards linked to the Clarendon Fund
Around half of all colleges as well as an increasing number of external organsations offer awards linked to the Clarendon Fund each year. In these cases scholars are offered a partnership Clarendon Scholarship, which this section has full details about, including the process whereby your application may be moved to a college that is not your first or second choice in order to take up a college linked Clarendon Scholarship.

Selection criteria
See the What is a Clarendon Scholarship page of this website for more information.

Nationality
Applicants liable to pay the overseas fee rate at the University of Oxford are eligible. If you are unsure whether you count as an `overseas` or international student for fees purposes, the Fee Status page should help.

Clarendon scholars come from all continents in the world: from the USA to Australia, Venezuela to Vietnam and from Norway to Nigeria!

This encompasses all full-time and part-time Master`s courses (MSt, MSc, BCL/MJur, MBA, MFE, MPhil, BPhil, MSc by Research, MTh) and all DPhil programmes. A list of the all the graduate courses offered by the University of Oxford can be found on the Courses A-Z page.

This includes students who are currently studying for a Master`s degree at Oxford but who will be re-applying for a DPhil (you would be eligible for funding for the DPhil).
