PhD Studentship in Signal Processing and Communications at Queen`s University Belfast, UK

PhD studentship available with the Digital Signal Processing and Communications group at ECIT, Queen`s University Belfast, UK to work on the EU funded project CROWN, please see http://www.fp7-crown.eu/ Specifically, we are looking a PhD student to work on one of the following topics.

1) Signal processing and information-theoretic study of Cognitive radio
2) Application of random matrix theory to signal processing and communications
3) Signal processing and information- theoretic study of cooperative communications



This project demands that the research student already possesses exceptional knowledge in advanced signal processing and communication together with very high mathematical ability and programming skills. In particular the PhD student needs to have prior knowledge in applied mathematics, multivariate statistical analysis, information theory and should be familiar with various wireless communication techniques.

The awards cover approved fees and a tax-free maintenance allowance of £13,290 per annum and are available to UK, EU and overseas citizens.
